Toledo City League Blue Division Tri-Champions (1985)

The City League Blue Division was stacked in 1985. On October 18th, the Waite Indians defeated the St John’s Titans 14-7. Bowsher powered past Waite 21-14 the following week, on an idyllic Homecoming Saturday afternoon in South Toledo. This set the stage for the game of the year on November 2nd: Bowsher vs St John’s at Rogers High School field. St John’s bested the mighty Rebels that day, 35-28, resulting in a three-way tie atop the City League’s powerhouse Blue Division to cap one of the most exciting regular seasons in league history.

Bowsher Athletic Hall of Fame (2024)

On June 3rd, 2024, nearly thirty-nine years after they played their final game, the 1985 Bowsher Rebels football team was voted into the Bowsher Athletic Hall of Fame. Welcome home, boys.
